Birralee Child Care Centre provides a complete range of early childhood programs designed to support learning and growth from infancy through to kindergarten. The nursery program offers dedicated infant care with age-appropriate routines, sensory play and consistent educator support. The pre-kinder room prepares children for kindergarten with a focus on early literacy, numeracy and structured play. Nursery 6 weeks to 15 months
The
nursery room provides a safe and nurturing space for infants aged 6 weeks and up. Educators support early development through sensory play, gentle routines, and consistent, responsive care tailored to each child.
Toddler 15 months to 2 years
Toddlers engage in age-appropriate learning experiences designed to support social, emotional and cognitive growth. Daily routines include meals, naps, play-based learning and guided group interactions with caring educators.
Pre-Kinder 2-3 years
The
pre-kinder program focuses on early literacy, numeracy and social development through storytelling, creative play and group activities. Children build confidence and independence in a supportive, flexible setting.
Kinder 3-4 years
The
kinder program encourages early literacy, numeracy and social development through imaginative play, storytelling and group activities. Children build independence, confidence and a love for learning in a supportive environment.
Kindergarten 3-5 years
This Queensland-approved kindergarten program prepares children for school with structured learning and play-based activities. It supports key skills like problem-solving, creativity, social development and independence during school-term hours.

My son has been at Birralee Child Care Centre from when he was 8 months old. Initially he commenced attending one day per week and gradually increased to 4 days per week. Last year he was full time and this year he is in pre- kinder four days per week.
During the years that he has been at Birralee he has received supportive care and guidance with various aspects of his development including his challenging biting stage, his social and language skills and potty training.
What we like the most is the fact that his educators are consistent, caring and firm which has helped him to understand healthy boundaries. He has learnt to name his emotions from an early age which helps with co-regulation. He loves his educators and always comes home with little stories about his daily adventures.
We have also noted that the management is responsive to queries and unpredictable changes when given adequate notice. We are very happy with Birralee and would highly recommend if to other parents.

As a first-time mum, sending my baby to daycare was beyond daunting. When we met the staff, they were warm, kind, friendly and supportive, on top of being knowledgeable and educated on child development. We started in the nursery and have continued into the kindergarten program and our son absolutely loves it. His teacher sets a high standard for future educators and teachers as her empathy, encouragement and guidance has played a major role in our son’s development. His confidence has improved, and his toileting has come a long way. Our other children attend Birralee as well and they’re in the toddler room. The lead educator in our twins’ room is exactly what you’d want in an educator and then some! The genuine care and respect given to our children leaves us feeling completely comfortable leaving our babies with the educators. Every staff member knows us and always engages with us when we’re in the centre. With low staff turnover, we know every educator well and they know us. I’m so grateful to have been given a spot with Birralee with our first child and to be able to continue our daycare chapter there as well.

Birralee has been a great experience for us, it doesn’t have a” Centre vibe”
We have always felt like when leaving our child that he’s been in the best care of all the staff at Birralee.
The kids are allowed to be kids and explore in the real outdoor area, and we love that culture and birthday are celebrated.
I think it speaks for itself knowing that many of the start have been their long term and there isn’t a high change over, so the kids always feel comfortable at drop off no matter who is on shift.
The centre takes a high standard in cleanliness which is so a big factor for us.

The educators are wonderful, and the best thing is the consistency of staff - there are many staff who have been at the centre from my first child in the nursery to my last child in the kindy. The centre is clean and tidy, and they are always ensuring the best quality care is provided for our children.
